Santa Story

Our Santa Story:

We don't have a title for this story yet (figures) but we definitely know what it's about. Take everything you know about Santa and think about it for a second... "He sees you when you're sleeping... he knows when you're awake..." A little creepy? Maybe not enough. So this guy goes into strangers' houses to give them toys that a bunch of tiny people make. Then he eats cookies if he finds them on your table. He even knows exactly what you want– stalker much? Okay. Wait. Not trying to ruin your childhood here, so let me just sum up the story before I go off on a rant about what– I mean, cough. Moving on.

Hailey is an "elf" in Santa's workshop. She's actually a teenage human girl who has been a slave under Santa Claus for as long as she can remember. All of the elves are, indeed, extremely skilled, but if Santa finds so much as a surface scratch on a toy you made, look out. That's why Hailey is the oldest elf in Santa's mansion. At one point near the end of the fourteenth year of Hailey's life, Santa realizes that being almost 2,000 years old (jk, sorta) he needs to have someone to pass his work onto in case– or more like when– he dies. Of course, Santa picks Hailey, his most "skilled and loyal" elf. She is forced to go with him to an orphanage to deliver toys where she is spotted by an alert orphan which Hailey has to drag along with her to Santa's sleigh.
That's waz up.
